On the eve of our kitchen renovation (hurrah!) I have been inspired to recreate my desk into a space I will actually use. At the moment, my desk is organised for studying, but of course, who on earth actually studies at their desk? Not me, no siree. The couch is my haven when in comes to the 2000-words-in-one-day type tasks. If I have to sit inside writing a boring essay in perfect APA format, I'm at least going to be comfy while I'm doing it.
Which brings me to my desk, a lovely battered old friend who I painted 'antique white' last summer whilst going through a short lived DIY phase. It's not very big, but I would like it to be a creative space for all my magazines and fabrics and possibly my sewing machine if it fits.
