I have been very busy in my new role as the Regional Director of Brisbane West Opti-MINDS! So have not been blogging. But I will hopefully pick it up again in the next few weeks (after Saturday, 28 August 2010, D-DAY!) and you can all sleep well again. In the mean time, here are some things that have happened recently:
- I went to the Ekka with Jo and Adrian and only spent $20. It can be done. We went after 8.00PM, which helped because this means a) free entry and b) there's nothing much to do because everything is shut. I only bought one teeny tiny show bag (the contents of which I have already eaten) and didn't go on any yucky rides. It was a great success.
- I got a Myer Visa Card. I love it. I would post a picture, but I don't think putting a picture of your credit card online is a very sensible thing to do. But you should all get one. (My relationship with Myer is much like Barney's relationship with Goliath National Bank in HIMYM, if you understand what I mean.)
- I used my Myer Visa Card to book return flights to India for six weeks in January!!! Thank you Air Asia, for your ridiculously cheap flight goodness. I spoke to a guy in a cafe today who spent a year in India studying Buddhism and he told me the Dalai Lama does ten days of talks in February and we will be there for this!! I am tres excited. Hopefully I will return spiritually enlightening, or at least motivated to become so.
- I shamelessly advertised a number of corporations on my blog. My apologies.
That's all for now, I must get back to redoing the Opti-MINDS timetable (third time's a charm?), buying one metre rulers and trying to stay sane and not yell at everyone.
Kate!
